The Errand

Built as a technical demo to showcase stylized shader and particle effect development in Unreal Engine. The player carries a flaming torch to the summit of a mountain, lighting smaller fires as checkpoints along the way, all while shielding the flame from the harsh winter elements. Custom Niagara particle systems drive the fire, smoke, wind, and snow effects, with each element designed to feel tactile, expressive, and easily identifiable. The project was driven by the challenge of using Unreal's particle systems to intuitively communicate the game's objectives and mechanics. All sound effects and original music were also composed and produced in-house.
